I felt at times that it was not going to get completed because I waited late in the trimester to get the job done. Now I understand that it is best to do all or most of your preparations for your baby in the 2nd trimester. Due to the lost of our baby girl Jasmine at 27 weeks, it made me a little hesitant to get started on the nursery and purchasing baby items. Nevertheless I knew the God made me a promise to trust him through this pregnancy with Jesiah and he truly blessed us.
My husband and oldest son painted the walls with a light grey color called cement from Sherwin Williams. The color was a little light but I did not want to bother with asking them to re-paint or add other coat. At that point I just wanted the job completed. I wanted something different than the traditional boy colors and I saw this comforter set at Wal-Mart and knew I wanted the owls and colors as the theme for his room. The crib, changing table and dresser was a 4-in-1 nursery set by Babymod at Wal-Mart. His wall decal and picture prints were both from Esty and I am really please with both. I purchase the curtains and shelf from Target. The closet organizers I ordered from Wal-Mart.com which consist of two different organization sets. I did have room for a glider but being a new mom for the third time I knew that I would just be buying it for the space and that would not be a good idea for the pocketbook. With my oldest son the glider actually made me sleepier and I did not even miss it with my second son. The entire room came together nicely just before he was born.
