Building up my grocery stockpile again
Well I have been out of the coupon loop for a while, with pregnancy and getting burnt out I lost my drive. But we have new addition to our family making it 5 instead of 4 is starting to put a dent in our pocketbooks. Many of the items that I purchased I cringed at the pure thought of buying it when I knew with coupons I could get for couple of cents or FREE. Well my latest shopping trip to Harris Teeter Super Doubles saved $71.70 and spent $18.13. My trip consist of 4 Motts Applesauce, 6 Hamburger helpers, 6 Suddenly Salads, 1 pkg. Pampers swaddlers, 6 Dole pineapple cans, 1 Taco Bell frozen meal, 1 Progresso recipe starter, 1 Hi-C juice packs, 2 Minute maid juice boxes, 1 Febreze car fresher, 2 Ortega taco seasonings pks. and 6 Old el Paso taco seasonings. I totally forgot to post my first trip. I am in a struggle with my 15 and 9 year old not to demolish whatever I bring in the house. My oldest has a reputation of sneaking things out of my pantry and fridge but my 9 year old normally asks me if he can have something but lately, I am guessing all the different drinks has him mesmerized. Well what is a momma to do?!?! I told them exactly what I am going to do. Buy myself a pantry cabinet for the snacks and drinks place a lock on it. Hehe! |
